Construction features

• The engine built with a 90°V gives a minimum length and height for the displacement. Furthermore, it enhances the bore/stroke ratio.
• The use of alloy in this engine gave the opportunity to give a very light engine: only 140 kg.
• The lower part of the cylinder block has built in the crankshaft bearing heads. This increases the stiffness of the engine.
• The distribution uses an intermediate shaft between the two cylinder heads giving a pure symmetrical engine.

Petrol feeding

• 3 carburators Weber 42 DCNF2. Manual choke. Aluminium inlet manifold.
• Air filter with box cover
• Electrical petrol pump, made by Bendix (located near the right rear suspension arm).

Electrical system - Ignition

Battery 12 V - 70 AH. Alternator 940 W. Start motor triggered by a positive voltage with solenoid. Ignition distributor with two breakers from SEV Marchal - 2 coils (with external resistors). Firing order: 1 - 6 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 4. Spark plugs Bosch W 200 T 30.

Cooling system

• Radiator with horizontal network. Forced air flow by two ventilators triggered by thermostat.
• Capacity of cooling system: 13 liters.
• Capacity of engine only: 4.750 liters.
• Temperature is controlled through a thermometer on the dashboard and a red light when critical temperature arises.
